GENERAL INFORMATION

The Lapeer County Health Department, along with the Lapeer County Office of Emergency Management, has developed emergency preparedness plans related to bioterrorism as well as emerging communicable disease infections, such as smallpox and pandemic flu. The Health Department is closely following guidelines from the CDC and the Michigan Department of Community Health to ensure that the plans we develop remain consistent with those of state and federal agencies.

It has been our goal to have the most up to date information upon which to create these emergency plans and protocols. We feel it is important for members of the public to have access to this information as well. For this reason, we are providing links to the following websites to enable you to access information.
