The.....H1N1 Web Page - Update
Updated Web page: 03/30/2010.
CDC reports that cases of influenza in Michigan have again dropped to only widespread activity. This means that at this time there are small numbers of cases of influenza, including the H1N1 strain diagnosed.
H1N1 vaccine remains available from many physicians and from Lapeer County Health Department at no charge. CDC continues to recommend H1N1 vaccine through the spring months. The H1N1 influenza strain will be included in the seasonal flu vaccine that will be available in the Fall of 2010.
Since outbreaks of H1N1 are still possible, parents may want to consider H1N1 vaccine for children who attend residential camp this summer since flu spreads quite readily in group sleeping settings.
We will continue to keep you informed of developments as the summer progresses.
