IMMUNIZATION PROGRAM

Childhood Immunizations:

If your child's health insurance does not cover the cost of vaccine, your child has no health insurance, or is covered by Medicaid Insurance, Lapeer County Health Department will vaccinate your child with VFC (Vaccine for Children) vaccine at little or no cost.

The VFC program is a Federally funded program that provides vaccines at no cost to children who might not otherwise be vaccinated because of inability to pay. Service is not denied for inability to pay administration fees at the time of the visit.

We will give you a "shot record" and also keep track of what shots your child has had and when they are due for more. We will contact you by mail to remind you that it is time for your child to have more shots.

Adult Vaccines available:

    1. Td/Tdap (Tentanus booster)
    2. Hepatitis B
    3. Hepatitis A
    4. HPV (18-26 year olds, against cervical cancer and genital warts)
    5. Pneumonia Vaccine ( Recommended for adults that have asthma or smoke)
    6. Chickenpox Vaccine (Recommended for those born after 1980, who havent had chickenpox)
    7. Influenza Vaccine
    8. Meningitis Vaccine
    9. MMR (Measles, Mumps & Rubella)
