Who is Eligible:

Any county resident

Services Offered:

  • TB testing: By appointment on Mondays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or during the walk-in clinic from 1:00 to 3:15 p.m. on Mondays. (TB test must be read within 48 to 72 hours after receiving test on the following Wednesday or Thursday) Please call (810) 667 - 0448 for an appointment, cost of testing, and for any other questions.
  • Follow-up communicable diseases as required by Michigan law
  • Public health nurse notifies Michigan Department of Community Health of all "reportable" diseases such as (partial listing):
      • Measles
      • Mumps
      • HIV/AIDS
      • Rabies
      • Shigella
      • Meningitis
      • Giardia
      • Hepatitis
      • Sexually transmitted diseases (STD’s)
      • Salmonella
      • Chicken Pox

Who Pays:

Funding is through Lapeer County local budget with supplemental funding from the Michigan Department of Community Health.
