Who is Eligible:

All children residing in Lapeer County.

Services Offered:

Vision Screening is provided in the school setting for children in Preschool, Early 5, Kindergarten, first, third, fifth, and seventh grades. Students may also be referred by a teacher or school staff. Appointments are available in office for preschool children or if parents have concerns.

Hearing Screening is provided in the school setting for children in Preschool, Early 5, Kindergarten, second, and fourth grades. Students referred the previous year will also be screened for any changes. Parents and teachers or school staff may refer students. Referrals are also based on recommendations set up by the Medical Advisory Committee on Otology and by the Michigan State Medical Society. Office appointments are available for infants, preschool children or if parents have concerns.

Who Pays:

The Hearing and Vision Screenings are a free service provided through Public Act No. 368.

Hours:

Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Call for more information or to schedule an appointment.
