Maternal Support Services Program (MSSP)

Who is Eligible:

A program for pregnant clients who are at risk during their pregnancy. A physician’s referral is required for services.

Services Offered:

Additional non-medical services such as payment for childbirth education classes, assistance with transportation, office or home visits from R.N., dietician and/or medical social worker.

Infant Support Services (ISS)

Who is Eligible:

Infants under 1 year of age who are at social, emotional, nutritional or medical risk. Program requires a physician referral.

Services Offered:

Home visits may be made by RN, Social Worker or Dietician who may perform physical assessments, teaching, case management, support or counseling.

Who Pays:

These are Medicaid sponsored programs.
